The Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is a prestigious horserace which normally takes place in Paris' Longchamp Racetrack. The 2016 and 2017 races take place in the Chantilly Racetrack due to renovation work in Longchamp.

On November 13th, 2015 a series of coordinated terrorist attacks were perpetrated around Paris by three Islamic State (IS) including suicide bombings and shootings. One year on, Parisians honored the 130 victims in different ways.
