Sushi, Nagorno Karabahk

Soviet-era monument outside Sushi. In 1923, Joseph Stalin, the People’s Commissar for Nationalities and future leader of the Soviet Union, decided to integrate Nagorno Karabaj to the Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan as an autonomous region.
